Dr Hasan Basri, MD is a Senior Clinical Research Associate at Eijkman-Oxford Clinical Research Unit in Indonesia.
He completed his degree in medicine from the University of Andalas (West Sumatera). He has many years of experience in community health service in remote areas, oil mining companies, district health offices, and provincial hospitals throughout Indonesia. He has been involved in variety of research projects including malaria, typhoid, dengue, cholera, Japanese encephalitis, avian flu, and HIV. He participated in disaster relief activities in the Aceh Tsunami and Jogjakarta Earthquake as well as provided health services for refugees in East Timor with the Indonesian Red Cross. Additionally, he is an experienced trainer in Good Clinical Practice, Research Ethics, Quality Assurance of Clinical Trials, and Clinical Trial Management and Monitoring. In addition to this, Dr Basri has experience in doing studies with the military, and a malaria study in Vanuatu.
