About

Dr Hong Chau has worked as a research physician involved in many clinical trials related to severe malaria, CNS infection (viral encephalitis, bacterial meningitis, tuberculous meningitis, eosinophilic meningitis, and cryptococcal meningitis) over the last 20 years at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases and OUCRU. Her PhD, completed at the Open University, UK in 2012 was based on clinical and pathological aspects of central nervous systems in Viet Nam. She provided an echocardiography service at OUCRU/Hospital for Tropical Diseases from 1991 to 2012. Her recent research focuses on enteric infections.
