Job summary | The Lab Intern will support daily laboratory operations by carrying out tasks according to study protocols, including sample preparation, equipment maintenance, and other routine lab activities. |
Key responsibilities and tasks | Assist with Laboratory Procedures: Support senior technicians and scientists in carrying out tests, and analyses.Sample collection: Collect blood samples, nasal swabs, oropharyngeal swabs, other specimens as specified by the study protocol.Sample Management: Transfer samples following safety protocols, handle, and store samples according to protocols to maintain their integrity.Equipment Maintenance: Assist with the upkeep and cleaning of laboratory equipment to ensure it remains in good working condition.Data Collection: Gather necessary information and record it clearly and legibly.Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized workspace.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of procedures. |
Selection criteria | Essential: Laboratory technician-CMLT NHPC registration certificate Desired: One-year experience |
