The Covid-19 pandemic has elevated OUCRU’s position as an expert in infectious diseases. Because of our involvement in various Covid-19 projects and our works in supporting governments to manage Covid-19 outbreaks in Viet Nam, Indonesia, and Nepal, we have received a substantial volume of interview requests and press mentions.

More specifically: 

From July 1, 2020, to 24 February 2022, OUCRU has received a total of 80 interview requests, including 25 requests from Vietnamese publications and 55 requests from international news networks.

Our experts have given 66 interviews with prominent news outlets and networks, including the Associated Press, Business Insider, BBC News, The Economist, ChannelNewsAsia, Le Figaro and Vietnamese publications such as VTV News, VNExpress, Zing News, VTC News, etc.

The issues mentioned can be divided into three large categories:

• Management of Covid-19 outbreaks in Viet Nam;
• OUCRU’s works in sequencing the SARS-CoV-2 virus;
• Covid-19 vaccinations and Covid-19 vaccine efficacy;
