In Vietnam, we are hosted by the Hospital of Tropical Diseases (HTD) in Ho Chi Minh City, and the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases (NHTD) in Hanoi.&nbsp;OUCRU Nepal closely collaborates with the National Academy of Medical Sciences in Kathmandu, and OUCRU Indonesia exists in partnership with the Universitas Indonesia. As a&nbsp;Wellcome&nbsp;Trust Africa Asia&nbsp;Programme, we have received considerable support from the&nbsp;Wellcome&nbsp;Trust since our establishment in 1991.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>OUCRU\u2019s vision is to have&nbsp;local,&nbsp;regional&nbsp;and global impact on health by leading a locally driven research&nbsp;programme&nbsp;on infectious diseases in Southeast Asia. Priority is given to health issues important to the hospitals where we work, and to the countries&nbsp;as a whole where&nbsp;we&nbsp;operate: Vietnam,&nbsp;Indonesia&nbsp;and Nepal.&nbsp;&nbsp;All work is intended not only to&nbsp;benefit&nbsp;the patients seen daily at our host hospitals, but also to help improve patient care.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please see more information on OUCRU website:&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.oucru.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.oucru.org<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Overview<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reporting to the PCE Manager, the Public and Community Engagement (PCE) Officer supports the implementation of OUCRU Indonesia\u2019s Public and Community Engagement strategy, with a primary focus on Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning(MEL), researcher engagement support, Seed Awards coordination, and projects coordination.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working closely with the PCE Manager, other PCE officers, researchers, and collaborators, the role contributes to strengthening evidence-informed engagement practice and meaningful dialogue between research and society.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The role contributes to the implementation of the PCE Theory of Change (ToC), supporting engagement initiatives aligned with OUCRU\u2019s strategic priorities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PCE Officers work collaboratively across all areas of the PCE programme. While this role has designated areas of focus, the officer is expected to contribute flexibly to engagement activities, projects coordination, administration, and team priorities as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Coordinate and implement MEL processes for PCE activities and programmes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take primary responsibility for documenting reflections, lessons learned, feedback, and engagement outcomes across activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate data collection, synthesis and reporting related to engagement activities and programme impact.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contribute to development of learning products, case studies, internal reflections, and knowledge-sharing activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Researcher-led Engagement<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Take primary responsibility for coordination and implementation of the PCE Seed Awards programmes, including communications, documentation, tracking, and reporting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support researchers in designing and implementing engagement activities linked to their research.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serve as a focal point for researcher-led engagement initiatives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Capacity Building<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Coordinate operational aspects of PCE workshops and learning sessions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Shared Projects Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Contribute to community participation activities, including FORUM and community dialogue platforms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support youth engagement initiatives and stakeholder engagement activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contribute to public engagement initiatives, dissemination activities, and communication material development.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work collaboratively with other PCE officers in implementing cross-cutting engagement activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Projects Coordination and Administration<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Coordinate planning, tracking, and operational management of PCE activities, deliverables, and timelines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain projects records, reporting systems, and shared filing systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take responsibility for logistical and administrative arrangements for meetings, workshops, trainings, and engagement activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate procurement processes, reimbursements and reporting support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>General Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Work collaboratively with OUCRU researchers, operational teams, and external partners.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure engagement activities are documented and implemented in line with ethical and organisational standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Undertake other tasks as reasonably required by the PCE Manager to support the objectives of the PCE projects..<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Public Health, Global Health, Development Studies, Communication,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Community Development, Social Studies, Education or related field; postgraduate qualification is desirable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>English level: Upper Intermediate \u2013 Advanced<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work experience: Minimum of 3 years\u2019 relevant work experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong experience on implementing Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good understanding of community engagement principles and public health, particularly in community-based programmes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong facilitation, communication, and organisational skills, with experience supporting meetings, trainings, workshops, or stakeholder engagement activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong administrative and coordination skills, with attention to detail and effective task management.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to work independently and collaborate
