Professor Thwaites\u2019 tenure at OUCRU is noted for his outstanding leadership and dedication, and for his enduring commitment to strengthening clinical research partnerships and improving health outcomes across the region.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Effective <strong>1 January 2026<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oucru.org\/vi\/people\/52194\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Professor J. Kevin Baird<\/strong><\/a>, currently Director of OUCRU Indonesia, will take on the role of <strong>Interim Director of the OUCRU Programme<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p>From the same date, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oucru.org\/vi\/people\/pgs-raph-hamers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Associate Professor Raph L. Hamers<\/strong><\/a> (Head of the OUCRU Indonesia\u2019s Clinical Infectious Diseases Research Programme) will take on the role <strong>Interim Director of OUCRU Indonesia<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p>We expect these changes will not affect any ongoing projects or operations.
