Dr Phan Trieu Phu, a public health physician, has more than 5 years of experience working at international research organisations, managing clinical studies on tuberculosis diagnostics and vaccines.

Currently, he is managing a Phase III clinical trial for the M72 tuberculosis vaccine at OUCRU. Collaborating with numerous local health centres and hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City, he spearheads the research team in conducting the first tuberculosis vaccine trial in Vietnam.

He joined OUCRU in 2018 and spent a year in the UK (2020-2021) pursuing his Master of Public Health at the University of Nottingham, funded by the Chevening Scholarship Programme (Foreign and Commonwealth Office, UK).
