Selvy Soejono

Selvy Soejoni, SKM has over three years of experience managing and implementing health programmes within the non-profit sector, specifically focusing on tuberculosis (TB) and mental health support for pregnant and postpartum mothers in private healthcare settings. This role strengthened her analytical capabilities and enabled her to provide technical assistance and training to healthcare workers. She played a key role in building TB-related networks within private hospitals, developing monitoring and evaluation frameworks, and fostering partnerships with civil society organisations such as Mentari Sehat Indonesia, KOPI TB, Mother Hope Indonesia, and local midwives’ associations.

Additionally, she brings more than five years of experience as an epidemiologist in primary healthcare, where she was actively involved in disease surveillance, contact tracing, and outbreak response, including during the COVID-19 pandemic through collaboration with local sub-districts on outbreak policy. She also led a public health essential division (approximately 14 staff) covering maternal and neonatal health, sanitation programmes, infant nutrition including stunting, immunisation, health promotion, and infectious and non-communicable disease programmes. This leadership role enhanced her skills in health programme management, local government advocacy, community engagement, and monitoring and evaluation. She is deeply passionate about health programme development, particularly initiatives that address community needs and create long-term, sustainable impact.
