Krishna Govinda Prajapati joined OUCRU Nepal as a Senior Laboratory Technologist after a long career at Patan Hospital (Patan Academy of Health Sciences), where he worked from 1985 to 2025. During his tenure, he served as In-charge of the Microbiology Department (2018–2021) and In-charge of Laboratory Medicine (2022–2025), overseeing clinical microbiology services, laboratory operations, and quality management. He holds a Master’s degree in Microbiology from Tribhuvan University, as well as qualifications in Medical Laboratory Technology and Management, and is registered with the Nepal Health Professional Council. He has completed professional training in antimicrobial resistance surveillance, PCR techniques, laboratory quality management, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP), and ISO 15189 quality standards. His professional interests include diagnostic microbiology, antimicrobial resistance surveillance, laboratory quality systems, and strengthening laboratory capacity for clinical research and patient care.
