Naheeda Haque is an accomplished Pharm D graduate with extensive experience in clinical trials and research governance. Since joining OUCRU Nepal in 2017, she has played a vital role in advancing the quality and integrity of clinical research. Her expertise lies in quality assurance, research compliance, and governance, with a strong focus on maintaining international standards and ethical practices. As the Governance Lead for the Clinical Trials Unit (CTU), Naheeda oversees research integrity and implements rigorous quality control measures. Her leadership capabilities were further demonstrated during her tenure as Acting CTU Manager, where she gained comprehensive insights into clinical trial operations and management.
Career Background
Naheeda began her career as a Vaccine Logistics Officer for the TyVAC Phase III trial, which evaluated the effectiveness of the Vi-Typhoid conjugate vaccine in controlling enteric fever in endemic regions. She later contributed to the TyVOID trial, focusing on the medium-term effectiveness of the vaccine among Nepali children. Her transition into the role of Quality Assurance Officer marked a significant step in her career, where she ensured field-level compliance and vaccine integrity. Over time, Naheeda advanced into governance and oversight roles, where she now plays a key part in upholding ethical standards and ensuring the quality of public health research.
