Ngọc is the Head of Clinical Research Management and Governance Group based in Hanoi, Vietnam, where she leads the team responsible for research operations, governance, regulatory coordination, and institutional partnership supporting clinical trials and observational studies.
Since assuming this leadership role in 2022, she has overseen the development and implementation of operational and governance systems that support collaborative research programmes across multiple institutions. Working closely with hospital leadership, investigators, research team, and external stakeholders, she focuses on strengthening research capacity, enhancing operational effectiveness, and fostering sustainable research partnership.
A significant recent achievement was leading the preparation, coordination and stakeholder engagement efforts that helped secure a new five-year institutional collaboration framework, ensuring the continuity and long-term sustainability of collaborative clinical research activities following the completion of the previous decade-long agreement. This milestone strengthened strategic partnerships and created a foundation for future research, training, and public health collaboration.
Ngọc joined OUCRU in 2016 as a Clinical Research Coordinator and was promoted to Senior Research Coordinator in 2018. During this time, she coordinated major clinical research programmes in tuberculosis meningitis and HIV, supporting clinical trials involving both adult and pediatric populations while contributing to the development of research operations and collaborative networks in Vietnam.
She holds an MSc in Clinical Trials from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, UK, and a BSc in Biology from Can Tho University, Vietnam.
