OUCRU Hosts Introductory Short Course on Modelling and Analysis of Serological Data 

OUCRU hosted a four-day introductory course on modelling and analysing serological data, bringing together 28 participants from 7 countries in Southeast Asia. The course was jointly delivered by experts from the MRC Centre for Global Infectious Disease Analysis at Imperial College London, National University of Singapore and OUCRU, and formed part of a multicoutry project jointly funded by UKRI, PREPARE and NAFOSTED.

ASPARNet Update in Phu Tho and Dong Thap Provinces 

The study titled “Evaluating Antimicrobial Stewardship strategies and capacity building through Participatory Action Research and a Network approach in Vietnam” (60HN – ASPARNet) continues to implement key activities to promote Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) programmes across hospitals participating in the network.

OUCRU scientists join global leaders at Oxford Tropical Network Meeting 2025 

The Oxford Tropical Network (OTN) Meeting 2025 was held from 15-18 September in Mombasa, Kenya, hosted by KEMRI-Wellcome. The annual gathering brought together colleagues from Oxford’s Overseas Programmes and partners including the University of Oxford, Wellcome Trust, CGHR, MORU, AHRI, MLW, and others to share insights, strengthen collaborations, and advance research in Tropical Medicine and Global Health.

Building Vietnam’s Clinical Trial Future: OUCRU and Partners at the Forefront

On 26 September 2025, leading researchers, policymakers, and international partners gathered in Hanoi for the Workshop on Clinical Trial Opportunities in Viet Nam, co-organised by the World Health Organization, Hanoi Medical University, and the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit (OUCRU). OUCRU and Partners Launch Kleb-CASAVA Project with Two-Day Kick-off in Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City, 5–6 August 2025 – The Oxford University Clinical Research Unit (OUCRU) and partners have officially launched the Klebsiella pneumoniae Community Acquired Infections Surveillance And Vaccine Development (Kleb-CASAVA) project. This collaborative initiative will strengthen surveillance of community-acquired Klebsiella pneumoniae (Kp) infections and advance vaccine development to address the growing global threat of antimicrobial resistance
