LABORATORY QUALITY COORDINATOR – JAKARTA

The Oxford University Clinical Research Unit in Indonesia (OUCRU Indonesia) operates in partnership with the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia. OUCRU Indonesia is part of the Major International Programme Vietnam sponsored by Wellcome and governed by the Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health at the Nuffield Department of Medicine, University of Oxford, United Kingdom.

OUCRU’s units in Indonesia, Vietnam, and Nepal along with their many local and international partners, conduct biomedical, clinical, and epidemiological research on infections impacting the health of people living in Southeast Asia and beyond.

Selection Criteria
    Essential Criteria• Education to a minimum of Bachelors degree in Biomedical Sciences or relevant related field.
• Experience working in Medical Research Laboratories for a minimum of 5 years.
• Excellent standards of written and oral skills in English.
• Demonstrated experience in Laboratory Quality
• Management Systems and regulatory compliance.
  Desirable Criteria• In depth understanding and implementation of ISO / GLP / GCLP requirements.Familiar with document control, SOP development and audit preparation.
• Skills in training colleagues on the job.
• Familiar with Setting Quality objectives.
  Skills and Competencies• Significant interpersonal, influencing and consultative skills including ability to communicate, present, negotiate and build credibility with colleagues and external partners.
• Experience using MS Office and other relevant IT systems to an intermediate level.
• Excellent attention to details and high level of organization skills.

Job descriptionWorking closely with the Head of Laboratory Services, the Laboratory Quality Coordinator will:
• Be responsible for establishing quality benchmarks, monitoring laboratory processes and evaluating the lab quality systems.
• Develop and maintain documentation, staff training, ensuring compliance with regulations, policies and best practices.
• Analyze quality data and prepare reports for Lab Management, tracks Quality Metrics, conducts Internal Audits and coordinates Corrective Actions.
• Plan and implement quality management system (Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP), ISO 15189 Standard) as well as Biorisk management for laboratory, ISO 35001 in OUCRU Indonesia.
• Ensure the implementation of the biosafety and biosecurity system to guarantee the safety of laboratory staff, the environment and biological material/ specimen in accordance with applicable regulation.
• Work as key contact person on all laboratory quality issues at OUCRU Indonesia.
Duration of employment1 year (renewable)
BenefitThe selected candidate will initially receive a 12 months’ contract with a possibility to receive a contract extension.   The remuneration package includes annual leave, sick leave, THR, optional private medical insurance, BPJS Kesehatan, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.
