Hasta Kathayat is a public health and emergency medical professional with multidisciplinary experience in research, field coordination, and emergency care. He has worked with government, academic, and non-governmental organizations, including the Nepal Health Research Council (NHRC), Vector Borne Disease Research and Training Center (VBDRTC), Center for Health and Disease Studies-Nepal (CHDS-Nepal), and National Institute for Development and Research (P) Ltd., Nepal Ambulance Service-102, One Heart World‑Wide, the Jane Goodall Institute, Grande International Hospital, and currently with the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit Nepal.
His experience includes maternal and neonatal death monitoring, epidemiological and vector‑borne disease research, COVID‑19 and lymphatic filariasis studies, maternal and reproductive health surveys, qualitative and quantitative data collection, community engagement, and technical documentation. He also brings hands‑on expertise in pre‑hospital and emergency care, including BLS training, hospital emergency departments, and helicopter rescue operations.
