Saraswati is a Molecular Laboratory Diagnostic Scientist at the Eijkman-Oxford Clinical Research Unit in Indonesia.
She earned BSc in Biology from University of Indonesia. Malaria immunology and molecular diagnostics are her research interests. She has worked in malaria research since 1993. She received training from A-Star (Singapore) on the usage of microsatellite for Plasmodium vivax genotyping, knob-associated histidine-rich protein PCR from A-Star (Singapore), development and optimization Luminex assay in multi-antigens for leptospira, rickettsia and Q-fever . She is responsible for establishing field diagnostics laboratories for clinical trials, and runs hundreds of blood samples gathered from field sites in determining parasite infections and genotyping parasite diversity.
