Starting with the Vital Project, he and his collaborators have developed tools and methods to improve the analysis of physiological signals, including the open-source library vitalDSP and earlier work on vital-sqi for signal quality assessment. His research focuses on transforming data from devices such as ECG and PPG sensors into meaningful insights for health monitoring, disease prevention, and clinical decision support. With a strong interest in applying AI to healthcare, Khoa is dedicated to making advanced technologies more accessible and impactful in improving patient care and everyday health.
