Thuong holds a degree in Biomedicine of Biotechnology Pharmacology from the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi. She has worked at OUCRU Hanoi for seven years.

She works on research projects that have long-term academic value to medical development. Her group’s current major research areas include infectious diseases caused by viruses, bacteria, and fungi, as well as clinical and public health research.
