Bioinformatician

Tung is a budding scientist who wants to explore more about next-generation sequencing and viral infections. He has a biotechnology and pharmacology background and is currently focusing on modelling, biostatistics and bioinformatics.

He is currently working on several ongoing projects studying viral respiratory infection, antibiotic resistance in clinical and community settings, COVID-19 and SARS-CoV-2 genomic. He is interested in the co-evolution of avian and human influenza, Intra-host adaptation and evolution of viruses, especially SARS-CoV-2.
