Hung first joined OUCRU in 2019 as a Communications Officer supporting project-based communication across research programmes. From 2024 to 2025, he served as a Senior Research Assistant, and was part of the core team developing a global Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) Maturity Framework, aligned with World Health Assembly Resolution WHA 75.8, designed to benchmark infrastructure, capabilities, and operational maturity of institutions conducting clinical trials and related research.
Since July 2025, Hung has returned to OUCRU’s Communications Team, where he focuses on organisation-level communication strategy, institutional visibility, and strengthening engagement with national and international partners.
Beyond his work in research and communications, Hung has also built experience in entrepreneurial thinking and innovation, having founded and managed two ventures since 2020. These experiences have shaped his approach to fostering creativity, user-centred design, and problem-solving within scientific environments—an area increasingly aligned with OUCRU’s strategic direction to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset in science and support the development of dynamic, future-ready research teams.
