Doctor Risyad Abiyyu Siregar, MPH, DIC is a medical doctor and public health professional with a strong interest in infectious disease control and global health interventions. He currently serves as a Scientific and Technical Officer for the SPHERES project. Risyad completed his medical degree at Universitas Indonesia and earned a Master of Public Health with a specialization in Global Health from Imperial College London, where he graduated top of his class and was awarded the Dean’s Prize for Joint Best Dissertation for his work on the global economic cost of malaria.
With a diverse background bridging clinical practice and international public health, Risyad has worked across settings from rural Indonesia to global institutions in Europe. His previous roles include serving as a general practitioner and as an intern at the World Health Organization, working on operationalizing the One Health approach for Neglected Tropical Diseases elimination. He is committed to advancing equitable and evidence-based approaches to reduce the global burden of communicable diseases through research, policy, and targeted interventions.
