Chetana Acharya

Public Engagement Officer

She has developed a strong interest in the geriatric population, nutrition, and qualitative research. Her passion for community engagement has led her to participate in several programs through the TyVOID study.

Chetana has previous experience as a Data Management and Analysis Facilitator in the Health Directorate, Butwal, Lumbini Province. In this role, she worked closely with the Provincial Health Emergency Operation Center (PHEOC) and the Ministry of Health and Population, collaborating with all districts of Lumbini Province during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since April 2022, she has been working as part of the TyVOID (Assessing the medium-term impact of a Vi-Polysaccharide Conjugate Vaccine in preventing typhoid infections among Nepali children) study team at OUCRU Nepal, where she continues to contribute her knowledge and skills toward improving the public health and well-being strategies regarding the typhoid disease.
