PhD Student

I am a clinical microbiologist and PhD candidate at the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit (OUCRU) in Hanoi, Vietnam. I also work at the National Lung Hospital, where I have contributed to clinical microbiology laboratory capacity, improving diagnostic services, and supporting antimicrobial stewardship.

My research focuses on antimicrobial resistance (AMR), particularly improving AMR surveillance and optimizing antibiotic use in low- and middle-income countries. Her work combines epidemiology and clinical microbiology to develop and evaluate integrated surveillance systems for antimicrobial resistance in hospital settings.

I have experience in infectious diseases research, establishing clinical microbiology laboratory capacity, and the analysis of clinical and microbiological data. I collaborates with hospitals across Vietnam to improve the quality and use of routine microbiology data for antimicrobial resistance surveillance and antimicrobial stewardship.

My broader research interests include antimicrobial resistance surveillance, clinical epidemiology, clinical microbiology, antimicrobial stewardship, infection prevention and control, and strengthening microbiology laboratory capacity in resource-limited healthcare settings.
