Dr. Bidhya is a Research Medical Officer (since 2020) specializing in ICU and ward-based randomized controlled trials and infectious disease surveillance.She holds an MBBS and an MPH from the Philippines.
She has contributed to major international studies, including the REGARD-VAP trial on antibiotic duration for ventilator-associated pneumonia, and the ACORN-2 antimicrobial resistance surveillance program aligned with WHO initiatives, along with its extension on healthcare-associated infections.
She is currently involved in the RECOVERY trial, a landmark global clinical study that has identified multiple life-saving treatments for COVID-19 and continues to expand into research on influenza and community-acquired pneumonia across Europe, Asia, and Africa.
