Microbiologist

Narayan Kunwar’s research focus and interest are on enteric fever, community and hospital-acquired infections, antimicrobial resistance, and their impact on public health.

He is an expert in microbiology and project management, which allows him to design and implement research projects that investigate the microbiology of infectious diseases and their impact on human health.

He is a member of the American Society for Microbiology (ASM). he has been actively involved in ACT-South Asia (The Azithromycin and Cefixime Treatment of Typhoid in South Asia Trial), A Clinically-Oriented Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance Network (ACORN) – Phase 2, which focus on the surveillance of hospital-acquired infections and antimicrobial resistance.

Narayan has demonstrated a strong commitment to improving public health outcomes through research and evidence-based interventions.
