The Role Of Biofilm Genes In Virulence And Antimicrobial Resistance Of Streptococcus Suis Serotype 2

This study aims to identify key factors of biofilm formation process and their potentially linked to virulence and/or antimicrobial resistance of strains.

Streptococcus suis serotype 2 was known as biofilm producing pathogenic bacteria. Biofilm formation was a multi-step process controlled by a number of cellular components. Those are also associayed with virulence, antimicrobial resistant and stress response of strains. This study aims to identify key factors of biofilm formation process and their potentially linked to virulence and/or antimicrobial resistance of strains.
