Capacity strengthening for frontline vaccine workers in Dak Lak​

We are collaborating with Dak Lak Center for Disease Control to build a sustainable training curriculum that can be applied in other provinces in Vietnam.

Key Milestones / Activities

Developing and delivering TOT

  • A training of Trainers (TOT) curriculum and resources was developed and delivered for district-level vaccine workers.
  • OUCRU’s team continued to provide mentoring support for the trainers to conduct and deliver capacity training workshops for health collaborators.

Capacity building programme for health collaborators

  • A training programme for health collaborators was developed and delivered by district vaccine workers in 17 villages of Cư MGar District.
  • The training programme was closely evaluated to ensure lessons learned were documented, modifications made as feasible, and recommendations and actions identified.
  • Visual aids to support health collaborators to communicate with their communities about vaccination were also developed.

Dissemination event in May 2023

A dissemination meeting with local, provincial, and national stakeholders to share the findings of the vaccine uptake research and engagement activities, and to provide a forum for further discussion about vaccine uptake strategies and approaches within the province; is scheduled for May 2023.
