Phương thực hiện các dự án nghiên cứu về phát triển và đánh giá các xét nghiệm mới nhằm cải thiện việc chẩn đoán sớm và điều trị bệnh cho người.

Trước OUCRU, cô làm nghiên cứu viên tại phòng thí nghiệm trọng điểm của Đại học Quốc gia Hà Nội, tham gia một số dự án về bệnh ở người, bao gồm phát hiện các đột biến phổ biến và phân tích đặc điểm của chúng trong bệnh bạch cầu dòng tủy cấp tính (AML) và nghiên cứu gen kháng thuốc kháng sinh. ở vi khuẩn gây viêm phổi, Acinetobacter baumannii .

Gia nhập OUCRU Hà Nội vào năm 2021 để thực hiện dự án “Chẩn đoán sớm bệnh nhiễm nấm talaromycosis – chiến lược giảm tỷ lệ mắc bệnh và tử vong do bệnh HIV giai đoạn nặng ở Đông Nam Á.”
