Thanh is currently Vice-Head of Public and Community Engagement at Oxford University Clinical Research Unit (OUCRU). He has led the development of OUCRU’s Schools and Youth Engagement Programme to build the interest of young people in science and equip them with the capacity to engage their peers and researchers with the aim of contributing to a generation that values evidence-based approaches and scientific careers.
As the lead of the Schools and Youth Engagement team, he is responsible for drawing strategic directions. Still, the design of platforms and actions taken are informed and supported by his dynamic and creative team. Thanh also has rich experience using participatory visual methods and facilitation skills to promote conversations and mutual understanding between groups of people, particularly young people.
